Terms and conditions

1. Entry to the competition starts at 5.30am on Friday 1st September and will close at 8pm on Saturday 30th September. A winner will be drawn at random. 
2. Entrants must be 16 or over to enter. 
3. Entrants must be a current Total Fitness Health Club member with membership account information up to date and no payment arrears. We reserve the right to request proof of identity, age and address.  In the event that the winner is unable to provide proof of identity and age in a reasonably acceptable format, we may withdraw the prize and select another winner. 
4. Entries that are deemed to be unlawful, or which may otherwise be harmful to the goodwill and reputation of Total Fitness generally will be rejected, and no responsibility is accepted for late, lost or misdirected entries.  
5. If a winner of the 12-month free standard membership is within a contract or commitment period, the winner will be returned to their previous membership type to complete the remainder of that contract period at the end of the free 12-month membership prize. 
6. If the winner of the 30-year free standard membership is within a commitment membership, that commitment period will not extend after the 30 years, and the winning member will be transferred onto a prize winner membership ending on 31 October 2053. 
7. The prizes include one winner only of a 30-year free standard membership and 15 x 12-month free standard memberships with one winner drawn from each of the 15 Total Fitness clubs.   
8. For eligible participants, swipe entry to the club is an automatic entry into the competition.  
9. One swipe of an eligible member ID card into a Total Fitness Club counts as one competition entry. The use of automated entry software or any other electronic means of repeated entry is strictly prohibited. 
10. Entrants can only win a prize winner membership for the club that is set as their ‘home’ club in their member details. Your ‘home’ club must be the main and most frequently visited club on the prize winner membership. 
11. There is a limit of one competition entry per day. 
12. Winners will be notified by email within 7 days of the closing date and must respond within 7 days of that email to claim their prize, after which time a re-draw will take place and the prize will be allocated to a new winner. 
13. We’d love others to be able to celebrate with competition winners by publicising their name, picture and location of their local gym in print, online, emails and on social media, however all winners will be given the opportunity to object to this and request less information to be shared. Please note, though, that we may be obliged to share winners’ details with the Advertising Standards Agency and other regulators. 
14. All terms and conditions, alongside club rules apply on any prize winner membership and remain in place further to your previous agreement 
15. We won’t gather any information about you which you don’t already provide us with to enter this competition as we already record your gym access for operational purposes. We deem this additional use of your information to be within both yours and our legitimate interests, but if you object to being entered into the competition, please let us know using our online form and we’ll exclude you from it. 
16. Membership freezes cannot be added on to any prize winner membership. 
17. In the event of the permanent closure of the club the prize winner membership is at, the remainder of the winner's membership will be transfer to the nearest available club. 
18. The prize is not for re-sale, non-negotiable, non-exchangeable, non-refundable, non-transferable, and no cash alternative will be available in any circumstances. We reserve the right to replace prizes with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control makes it necessary to do so.
