New Year Weight Loss

No matter what time of year it is weight loss is often on the minds of many people. Whether you are thinking about weight loss for summer or weight loss for next Christmas, it can be a very daunting thought if you don't know what you are doing.

Here at Total Fitness each of the machines in our gym are designed to aid weight loss, each of our personal trainers are trained to help aid weight loss and a number of our fitness classes are designed to aid weight loss.

We believe weight loss is easier if you don't do it alone. Although working out in the gym on your own could help with weight loss, we feel you will get better results if you choose to work out with a friend or with a Total Fitness personal trainer.

As you will know it takes a lot of dedication to help achieve weight loss, both inside and outside the gym. Outside the gym you need to ensure you are eating a healthy balanced diet, we are not saying deprive yourselves of everything you like but you have got to remember that continuing as you always have will not help weight loss. Inside the gym Total Fitness can help. If you choose to work out with one of our personal trainers and explain to them that weight loss is your goal they will be able to give you exercise to help you achieve this goal. A personal trainer is also a great way to stay motivated as they will give you words of encouragement when you need it and they will vary your fitness plan to maximise the weight loss you achieve.

We also have a variety of fitness classes which can aid weight loss. They range from low intensity to high but they are designed to raise your heart rate and keep you motivated.

If you don't like to work out then you will be pleased to know weight loss can be achieved swimming. You will need to ensure you swim on a regular basis and aim to raise your heart rate slightly as weight loss will not occur if you go for a leisurely swim.
