Laser Hair Removal (Long pulsed Alexandrite and YAG Lasers)
The Total Fitness hair removal lasers provide unprecedented levels of speed, safety and clinical effectiveness, treating skin types 1-5.
The hair removal lasers are precise enough to disable only the germ cell in the follicle, minimally affecting the surrounding skin and considerably increasing the efficiency of the hair removal process.
The lasers include integrated dynamic air cooling for added comfort and skin protection.
Laser hair removal treatment intervals vary depending on the treatment site, but are normally between 4-6 weeks/8-12 weeks apart.
The number of treatments required varies with each individual and is dependent on many influencing factors, but on average between 7-10 sessions may be needed for optimal results, however, in some cases, further sessions may still be required at a later stage - these treatments are carried out at a much reduced rate.
Red Vein Treatment (Dornier skin pulse Diode laser- Wilmslow clinic only)
The vascular laser greatly reduces or eliminates the appearance of red veins, such as thread veins, spider veins, broken capillaries, cherry angiomas (blood spots) on the face and legs.
During red vein treatment a specific wavelength of light is pulsed onto the skin, targeting the blood within the superficial vessels. As the blood within the vessels dries up the vessel walls collapse down and stick together, then through the body's own natural healing process these dried particles of blood are carried away through the blood stream, leaving the skin looking noticeably clearer and with a more even tone.
Reactions to the skin are very minimal and patients can resume normal everyday activities without it looking obvious that they have had any kind of treatment.
In most cases 2-3 sessions may be required, however in some cases only a single session may be necessary.
Age Spot Treatment (Alexandrite Laser)
If you're an active outdoor person, chances are you are more likely to show the signs of premature sun-related ageing.
Laser treatment has proven extremely effective in removing age spots/brown sun spots, most commonly found on the face, upper chest and backs of hands.
The laser beam targets the darker pigment, gently penetrating the skin, causing a superficial heating of the skin resulting in a temporary darkening and crusting of the unwanted pigment.
Over the next 48hrs these pigmented lesions may darken slightly before the crusting starts to flake off, leaving new skin beneath, which gradually re-pigments to the normal skin tone after about 2 weeks.
Normally only a single session of age spot treatments is required, with up to an 80% improvement or in some cases complete clearance.
Microdermabrasion
Offers deep exfoliation and superficial resurfacing of the skin using ultra fine medical crystals to remove dead skin cells to refine and rejuvenate the skin.
The gentle vacuum of the machine stimulates circulation and promotes increased blood flow to the skin resulting in an overall improved appearance in skin tone and texture, giving it a healthy, radiant glow and a more youthful appearance.

A FREE test patch will be carried out, as part of the consultation - this is to ensure suitability for treatment. Depending on skin type and the area being treated you may be required to leave from 24hrs - 2 weeks prior to being able to proceed with treatment.
