At each Total Fitness gym we offer a wide range of swimming lessons and water based activities for members, catering for all ages and swimming abilities.

Adult swimming lessons

The adult swimming lessons at Total Fitness are designed for for beginners to improve confidence and install the foundations of swimming.  In addition to these regular swimming lessons we also offer swimmimg lessons for those who can already swim but want to improve their swimming technique, or learn new strokes.

1 to 1 swimming lessons

1 to 1 swimming lessons are a more intense type of swimming lesson compared with our regular swimming lessons. 1 to 1 swimming lessons are perfect if you feel you need a push start, have a particular skill to overcome or just think you would be more comfortable in a one on one situation.

Our 1 to 1 swimming lessons run at various times throughout the week to fit in with your busy lifestyle. If you would like to attend 1 to 1 swimming lessons, please fill out a 1 to 1 form at reception.

Total technique sessions

Total technique sessions cover all strokes and many of the skills that accompany them and is a 12-month rolling programme of swimming technique sessions.  We hold the swimming sessions once per week, but you do not need to attend all the sessions. Total technique sessions are ideal if you can swim one length of the stroke being taught and would like to improve your technique, please enquire at reception.

Total swim

Total Swim is a programme of colour coded progressive cards for you to follow, giving you a total water workout. You choose your own level, White, Blue or Red take the card and the equipment needed and begin your workout. Always work at your own pace, and follow the programme as best you can.
